iWay

We recently switched to iWay from UPC, since fiber was installed in our house. The new connection is a full Gigabit sychronous connection.

I had already a set of cisco SG300 switches that have mini-Gbic slots, so all I needed was an SFP Module from FLEXOPTIX the model is S.B1312.10.XDL and a single mode cable.

On there website they say you just need a Simplex TX 1310nm/RX 1490nm BiBi SFP Module.

I first added VLANs with tag 10 like you seem to need for swisscom but as I found out its not requred and you can just get a DHCP lease from a port configured in access mode.

I created an internal VLAN in the switch with two access ports, one with the mini-GBIC module, the other one with my OPNsense router connected so that traffic only goes from iWay to my router.
