iWay

WeRecently recentlywe where connected by swl to the fiber network and I switched to iWay from UPC,upc, sincefinally fibergetting wasrid installedof inthe ourenforced house.router, finally the aera of synchonous connectivity started.

SG300-10

sg300 The new connectionsetup is arefreshingly full Gigabit sychronous connection.

I had already a set of cisco SG300 switches that have mini-Gbic slots, so allsimple, I needed wasadded an SFP Modulemodul from(FLEXOPTIX FLEXOPTIXS.B1312.10.XDL) to the modelCisco isSG300-10 S.B1312.10.XDLswitch andI used before, that was all. With my new provider iWay it was not even necessary to configure a singlespecific mode cable.VLAN.

On there website they say you just need a Simplex TX 1310nm/RX 1490nm BiBi SFP Module.

IThe firstSFP addedmodule VLANsis withconnected tagto port 9 on the switch, port 10 like you seem to need for swisscom but as I found out its not requred and you can just get a DHCP lease from a port configured in access mode.

I created an internal VLAN in the switch with two access ports, one with the mini-GBIC module, the other one with my OPNsense router connected so that traffic only goes from iWay to my OPNsense router. Ports 9 and 10 are on the same VLAN, just via access ports to separate the traffic. sg300 vlans Port 8 gets internet from the router and distributes it to port 4, my office switch.

OPNsense WAN
